Apple launched the wireless AirPods headphones alongside the iPhone 7 in September 2016. Though finally on sale in December of that year, they have been perennially out of stock, with Apple often warning of 2-3 week delays in delivery after purchase.
This is likely down to unexpectedly high demand from a low stock, but it has meant that it’s taken a year since the announcement for us to start to notice people wearing them in public.
But their simplicity is commendable, and 24 hours charge from the charging case is very competitive in the market.
How much are AirPods?
AirPods retail for £159, a price that was criticised originally but we feel is justifiable. AirPods are hands down the easiest and most reliable Bluetooth earphones available and cost £40 less than the Samsung IconX, which have terrible battery life.
