Fitbits have long been a popular Christmas gift, just in time for the New Year health and fitness regimes to begin. This year the line-up is better than ever thanks to the introduction of the company’s first fully fledged smartwatch, the Ionic, which is discounted by £50 over Black Friday.
If you’re thinking of buying a Fitbit for a loved one (or for yourself), Black Friday is the perfect time to do so. Here we offer Black Friday shopping tips and tricks to help you make the most out of Fitbit deals – some of which have already begun. The deals listed here are still live through the weekend and into Cyber Monday, but obviously stock can run out so don’t delay.
Best Fitbit deals available now
There are many Fitbit deals to be had – indeed deals kicked off early this year.
Don’t forget to sign up for the 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime to get access to Lightning Deals 30 minutes early, as well as free next day delivery.
For example Fitbit is offering £20 off the Charge 2 Special Edition tracker to £139.99 – although no discount on the standard Charge 2 that remains at £139.99. But fear not, as Boots has the standard Charge 2 in various colours for just £109.99 – a saving of £30. Strangely Boots thinks the normal retail price is £119.99, but it’s definitely £139.99.
We’ve seen the Charge 2 as low as £99 on Amazon but that depends on the colour and size so see the Fitbit Charge 2 discount options at Amazon.
The Alta HR Special Edition is also available for £20 off, at £129.99 from £149.99, but with no deal on the standard Alta HR. Again Boots comes to the rescue with the classic Alta HR discounted to £109.99, a saving of £10 on Fitbit.
The colourful Blaze tracker has a whopping £40 off at Fitbit at just £119.99. The Gunmetal Special Edition is reduced from £179 to £159. And there are big discounts on Fitbit Blaze accessories too. Boots is also offering the same £30 off deal on the Blaze, but not the Special Edition.
The best price for the Fitbit Blaze that we’ve seen is an incredible £106.99 from Amazon, available in various colours and sizes.
And the waterproof Flex 2 is down to a bargain £39.99 from a normal £69.99.
Which Fitbit should you buy on Black Friday?
There are six activity trackers in Fitbit’s current range: Flex 2, Alta HR, Charge 2, Blaze, Zip, and the new Ionic. You may also find older models heavily reduced. Their features vary significantly, as do their prices.
If you’d prefer a discreet activity tracker that isn’t worn around the wrist, you might like the Zip. For the most impressive features and a watch-buckle wristband, look to the Charge, Blaze, Alta HR or Ionic. And for pop-clasp sitting in the middle of the range when it comes to features there’s the original Alta and the Flex 2.
We’ve got a complete guide to choosing the best Fitbit here, so spend some time researching which to look out for on Black Friday itself.
It’s worth making a note of how much the Fitbit you’re hoping to buy costs right now, and determining how much you’d like to spend on one on Black Friday. Here’s a rundown of the current models and their RRPs:
