LG V30s To Launch On March 8 Or 9 In Korea: Report

LG is expected to announce an upgraded variant of its LG V30 flagship during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018, the LG V30s, and some new info leaked when it comes to this phone. According to a report from Korea, the LG V30s will become available in its homeland on March 8 or March 9. The phone’s price point is still unknown, but industry insiders estimate that it could cost around 900,000 won ($828) in the country, and it will be more expensive outside of South Korea.

Now, the LG V30s is expected to ship with some AI camera features, though the design of the device will probably remain the same, as will the vast majority of its specifications. LG actually refers to the upcoming phone as the 2018 version of the LG V30, so it remains to be seen if it will be called the LG V30s or not, as it’s possible that the company will go with the LG V30 (2018) name instead. This new smartphone will ship with LG’s ‘Vision AI’, which basically analyzes objects and recommends best shooting modes based. Vision AI will be able to recommend one of eight modes: portrait, food, pet, landscape, city, flower, sunrise, and sunset. While analyzing an image, Vision AI takes into consideration a number of factors, including color reflections, backlighting, saturation levels, and so on. The addition of Vision AI had been confirmed by LG earlier this month, and the same goes for Voice AI. LG’s Voice AI will allow users to run apps and change settings using voice commands. Voice AI will work in collaboration with the Google Assistant, and 32 LG-exclusive voice commands will be available.

The LG V30s or LG V30 (2018), no matter what LG opts to call the phone, will probably be fueled by the Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core SoC, just like its predecessor, as the Snapdragon 845 is probably reserved for the company’s upcoming flagship, the LG G7, which is expected to arrive in a couple of months. The LG V30s will almost certainly ship with the same exact camera setup as available on the LG V30, which means that we’re looking at 16 and 13-megapixel rear-facing shooters, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The device will arrive with a 6-inch QHD+ (2880 x 1440) P-OLED display, and it will feature IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
